"Corrida #9" – Fine Art Canvas Print by Freddy Caston
Bring the ultimate expression of movement, high-contrast drama, and old-world passion into your store with this remarkable Freddy Caston oil painting canvas print. Painted in 2015, this exquisite piece stands out as a core masterwork in Caston's celebrated bullring series, perfectly freezing the precise, elegant split-second where a matador performs a classic verónica pass.
The composition utilizes a stunning tri-color block strategy that instantly commands visual attention. A massive, sweeping expanse of sun-baked golden sand stretches across the foreground, met sharply by a heavy, midnight-cobalt blue sky that frames the top of the ring. Locked at the center of the canvas is the high-stakes dance: the dark, muscular silhouette of a charging black bull sweeping beneath the fluid, triangular flash of the matador's magenta-pink and golden-ochre capote (cape). The thick, visible brushwork and raw palette scrapes give this piece an elite gallery-grade presence.
