Corrida #1, Paper Fine Art Print 6.6 x 11 in

Bring a unique, cinematic perspective of the Spanish bullring into your home with this exceptional Freddy Caston paper print. Painted in 2015, this piece showcases Caston’s brilliant mastery of composition, using vast negative space and stark geometry to capture the heavy, silent tension right before a dramatic pass.

This artwork is a masterclass in modern balance. The composition features a massive, sweeping expanse of radiant golden-yellow sand that slants across the canvas. In the distance, a dark, silhouetted bull charges inward, while a poised matador stands anchored in the foreground, draped in a deep blue suit and holding a multi-colored cape of purple and fiery orange. Behind them, a stark gray barrier walls off the arena, punctuated by a bold, black-and-white geometric target gate that adds a fascinating modern abstract element to the scene.
