Bajondillo Rooftops from the Cuesta del Tajo #2, Paper Fine Art Print 29 x 36.5 in

Bring the warmth and character of the Spanish coast into your home with this striking abstract landscape by Freddy Caston. Viewed from the Cuesta del Tajo, the rooftops of the Bajondillo in Torremolinos become an arrangement of bold geometric shapes, muted colors, and expressive brushwork. The painting combines a mid-century modern sensibility with a simplified, almost cubist approach to architecture.

Whitewashed walls, slate-gray shadows, muted blues, and earthy terracotta rooftops overlap in a closely packed composition that captures the distinctive character of this Spanish hillside town. Loose, textured brushwork and irregular blocks of color give the scene a sense of movement and depth, while the simplified forms leave room for the viewer's imagination to complete the image.

Rather than documenting every architectural detail, Caston captures the feeling of the place. The result is a painting that balances abstraction with recognition, inviting viewers to connect with the atmosphere, light, and enduring charm of Torremolinos.
